Privacy, Terms, and Conditions

PRIVACY POLICY

  • The Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services (CADAS) is a HIPAA compliant drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility. The purpose of this privacy policy is to ensure informed privacy awareness for potential clients, and compliance with HIPAA and TCR regulations.
  • Types of Information Collected: Types of information include name, phone number, email, address, and protected health information (PHI).
  • Method of Information Collection: Methods include our Contact form on our website, and forms during intake/orientation whenever treatment is sought out.
  • Purpose of Data Collection: Purposes of collecting information is strictly confidential and related to a client’s care or potential care.
  • Data Security Measures: Being HIPPA compliant, PHI is recorded on an encrypted system accessible only to authorized users with two-factor authentication.
  • Data Sharing: Contact information or PHI will not be shared to any 3rd party outside of CADAS (unless treatment related). SMS opt-in and phone numbers collected for SMS purposes will not be shared under any circumstances for marketing purposes.
  • User Rights: Clients may revoke consent at any time. Clients have rights to request accessing, updating, or deletion contact information unless prohibited by law.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • SMS Consent Communication: Information obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with 3rd parties for marketing purposes. Message frequency may vary.
  • Types of SMS Communications:
    • Upcoming doctor appointments
    • To answer all your questions regarding our services (therapy, change in program, food & housing resources, etc.)
    •  Information about a client’s care and behavior is relayed to a probation officer if the client is on probation
  • Message Frequency: Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. You may receive up to 15 messages per week depending on your engagement.
  • Potential Fees for SMS Messaging: Please note that standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.  
  • Opt-In Method: Clients will Opt-in for SMS messaging from CADAS through a form on during a client’s intake/orientation, this agreement for SMS will not be shared with third parties for marketing. “Message and data rates may apply. You can opt-out at any time by texting ‘STOP.’ For assistance, text ‘HELP’ or visit our Privacy Policy, and Terms & Conditions.
  • Opt-Out Method: Customers will be able to Opt-out for SMS messaging from CADAS by replying STOP at any time or by informing their counselor or other relevant party. Once opted-out you will receive no further SMS communication. They can opt back in at any time by replying START.
  • Help: For assistance, text “HELP” or visit our contact page (If you do not wish to receive SMS messages, you can choose not to check the SMS consent box on our forms)
  • Standard Messaging Disclosures:
    • Message and data rates may apply.
    • You can opt-out at any time by texting “STOP.”
